Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival

Arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) in the afternoon. Dinner and Check into hotel for a rest.

DAY 2 BEIJING

Our exploration starts with Tian An Men Square — the largest city square in the world, bordered by the Great Hall of the People and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum. Standing north is Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palace and home to the Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty for over 500 years. Grand halls and courts gradually give way to more intimate domestic quarters, presenting an insight into the pampered isolation of the emperors. Lunch will be at a Beijing Flavor Restaurant. After the Fresh Water Pearl Showroom visiting, we will enjoy the wonderful Acrobatic Show in the evening. Then we will be devoted to China’s No.1 shopping street – Wang Fu Jing Street for shopping. Peking Duck Dinner at the most famous local restaurant

DAY 3 BEIJING

Today’s highlight is Great Wall of China. First built in the Warring States period (475-221BC) as a series of earthworks erected by individual kingdoms to defend against each other and north invasion, the wall we see now was left from Ming dynasty. We will pass through the Jade Museum, as one of the major Chinese craftsmanship, embroidery products will be the best souvenirs. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant nearby. An outside tour to the prestigious Bird Nest and Water Cube will spark our day – as the stadiums for 2008 Olympic Games, these two creatures won big applaud in and out architectural world. We will have a photo-stop here. The rest time is for blast shopping – Xiu Shui Market for bargain fun. Dinner at Local Restaurant.

DAY 4 BEIJING

Firstly, visit to Tea House to enjoy Chinese tea ceremony. The tour of the day is the well-know Summer Palace. Being the largest imperial garden in China, it was first built in the Qing emperor Qianlong’s time in 1751 and was restored in 1886 by Dowager empress Cixi for her own enjoyment. The park became a favorite haunt of Cixi, who even preferred it to the Forbidden City, and named it Yihe Yuan (meaning the garden of health and harmony). After that, a well-prepared Mongolia Hot Pot Lunch will be ready for us. And the famous Hong Qiao Market will be our last bazaar in Beijing. Dinner will be at the most famous local restaurant.

DAY 5 BEIJING-SHANGHAI BY BULLET TRAIN

Take the Bullet Train to Shanghai with the speed of 300km/hour in the morning. (It takes about 5 hours). Pick up by Shanghai tour guide upon arrival. Lunch at the famous local restaurant after arrive in Shanghai. After lunch we will do shopping at the famous Nanjing Shopping Street. And then we will visit to the “Bund” (waterfront) which will give us a grand view of the “Wall Street” of the Orient, recalling the modern history in the last century of this great city. Huangpu River Cruise will be the highlight for today. Dinner at Local Restaurant

Day 6 SHANGHAI

After breakfast we will visit Pudong New Developed Area, where we will tour the riverside park along the Huangpu River appreciating the highest TV Tower in China as well as the Jinmao Tower, the third tallest building in the world. Visit the Shanghai Tower. It is a landmark in Shanghai and the tallest building in China. Then we will visit to Silk Store for shopping, as one of the major Chinese craftsmanship, embroidery products will be the best souvenirs. Then we will visit the Shanghai Old Town, where is also named Chenghuangmiao Shopping Area meaning Temple of City God in Chinese. Apparently, the city god temple is not existed any more. What we will see are hundreds of shops selling all sorts of things. Maybe the word Bazaar can better explain this place. Shopping at A.P. Plaza will be another highlight in the afternoon. Dinner at Local Restaurant.

DAY 7 Departure SHANGHAI

Transfer to Shanghai International Airport for the departure flight.
